My name is Elisabeth – and if I were to describe myself, it would probably be like this:I’m someone who is not easily thrown off balance. Even when everything around me becomes hectic, I remain calm, think one step ahead, and find solutions where others only see problems. I approach inconsistencies with diplomacy and a keen sense for people – it’s important to me that everyone can save face in the end and feel understood. Listening is one of my greatest strengths.

Travelling is one of my biggest passions. New places, new cultures, new languages – that’s exactly what excites me. My sense of direction may leave a lot to be desired, but I take that with a smile. Thankfully, my travel companions are happy to take over that part. Once we’ve arrived, however, I’m the one who has everything under control: I organise, adapt plans, find solutions, and make sure everything runs smoothly. And, of course, I also keep the shared travel fund safely in my pocket – after all, someone has to keep track of things.

Languages have fascinated me for a long time – to me, they are like little keys to other worlds. I also enjoy spending time in the garden, even if I’m far from being a professional. The lavender on the Kirchenwirt rooftop receives special care. Tending to it, watching it grow, and enjoying its scent is wonderfully calming and grounding. And harvesting the lavender together with friends, early in the morning before the day properly begins, are among the most beautiful moments of summer.

When I take time for myself, I like to pick up a good book. Quite often, though, the book ends up falling onto my face after just a few pages – I’m just as capable of dozing off on the sofa after a long day. These quiet little moments are very precious to me.

Perhaps the best way I unwind from my often demanding everyday life is on my motorbike. Simply setting off, feeling the wind, and leaving everything behind – preferably somewhere where computers and mobile phones don’t matter. That sense of freedom, of switching off, of simply cruising through the landscape is priceless to me and gives me exactly the energy I need for daily life.
