In Unken, and in Salzburg Saalachtal there is plenty to do, you will find many sports and leisure facilities and attractive destinations.

Golf

Hiking

The wonderful mountain area with sign posted tracks, romantic forest walks, beautiful mountain pastures, breath taking views and wild romantic canyons are waiting for you.

Mountain biking & bike riding

Enjoy bike rides along the Saalach or along the Skulpturenradweg around the Loferer- and Leoganger Steinberge or make a classic mountain bike tour along the 480 km mountain- and trekking bike routes. Ride along this unique countryside of the Salzburger Saalachtal. This fulfils every dream of a biker.

Swimming

Dive into a cool pool on a hot day or have a sunbath at the Alpenbad in Unken, the Steinbergbad in Lofer or in the lake of Voderkaserklamm. The opportunities are endless.

The Alpenbad in Unken offers a sport size outdoor swimming pool with a huge water slide, a kids play area and baby pool, a volleyball court and a large sunbathing area.

At the Steinbergbad in Lofer enjoy a swimming pool with a slide, a volleyball court and a sunbathing area. You also can canoe down the stream on an air-tyre.

The Naturbadeseen Vorderkaserklamm invites you to swim in a lake with outstanding water quality. River rafting is a must for children and alternatively they can have fun at the play area.

Nordic walking & jogging

For endurance sports we offer nordic walking and jogging in an area with 16 different routes and 110 km of well sign posted tracks.

Tennis

The Salzburger Saalachtal also offers 3 outdoor tennis complexes. In Unken two hard courts, in Lofer and St. Martin clay courts.

Horse riding

Children can have their first experience to ride on a horse.

Climbing

Around the area of the Schmidt Zabierow Hütte are more than 50 routes with all levels of difficulty (3 to 9) and hights (20 to 500 m).

Rafting, canyoning & kayaking

The power of the wild water on the river Saalach, well known as a world-championship course, gives you a breath taking time in your kayak, canoe or with friends in a rafting boat. Tours with professional guides are offered.

An adventure you will never forget is canyoning, a combination of jumping, sliding and swimming through a wild canyon.
